Genfare Cents-a-Bill fareboxes were developed for public transit systems to collect paper and coin currency. A complete farebox tower is comprised of top & bottom casings, three circuit boards, a removeable farebox, a bill validator, coin counter, and keypads. All fareboxes were installed and used at some point before they were replaced by a newer system. They've been stored inside on the upper level of our maintenance shop. For those interested in the dimensions of the casing, the tower has a base of roughly 12"x12" and it stands about 36'' Tall. They are ready to be reinstalled in a bus or used as a piggy bank for collectors.
